I began taking yoga classes after a car accident left me with a back injury. I was seeking a movement-based practice but I quickly experienced the greater offerings of yoga. My injury healed and I was opened up to a whole world of other benefits that I didn't know existed. Since then, I've dedicated my time to learning about the practice of yoga and sharing it with others.
In 2013, I began my studies. I traveled to attend various teacher trainings in different countires and here in Canada. I am extremely thankful for the teachings that have been passed down to me.

I am able to teach a variety of styles of yoga and I continue to devote my time to honouring and learning about the practice of yoga. In my classes, you can expect a practice that is both challenging and suitable for your own skill level, whatever that may be. Teaching has become a passion of mine and I look forward to seeing you in class!
My Teaching Philosophy
People seek out yoga for a variety of reasons and it's not my place to judge those reasons. Regardless of what you have in mind, you have a place in my class. My teaching is not a reflection of my personal practice - it is for you, the practicioner. I love to engage in conversation and find out what brings people to their mat so I can better facilitate those goals.
Yoga is a spiritual practice that originates from India. To appreciate and honour the roots of yoga, I acknowledge the history of colonization and cultural appropriation of ancient Indian traditions. I am committed to continuing my studies and teaching with respect for yogic roots.
What I Teach
Flow-based yoga from beginner to advanced levels. We focus on moving with breath and building heat in the body.
Meditation and Pranyama:
I use a variety of techniques to help the practitioner still their mind and find a deeper connection to their True Self.
I specialize in advanced pose consultation. This is for people who are trying to bring new poses into their practice but are unsure of how to do so safely. This is important to me because far too frequently, I hear of injuries as a result of attempting advanced asana. My goal is to provide a judgement-free space that encourages learning and safe experimentation.
Asana and HIIT (Yoga-Shred Inspired):
A combination of yoga-style asana and high-intensity interval training.
A class for moms-to-be. We focus on building strength, increasing flexibility, breathing through challenges, and other concepts that are helpful in preparing for birth.
Postnatal/Parent and Baby Yoga:
A class for parents to move and engage with their little one. This class focuses on safe poses for a post-partum body but all caregivers are welcome.
A slower style of yoga where poses are held for longer periods of time. Minimal effort is used to hold those poses.
A slower style of yoga where no effort is used to hold poses.

I am a certified YACEP with the Yoga Alliance. I offer workshops for yoga teachers and other practitioners who would like to offer aspects of yoga to their clients.
Yoga for Kids:
A play-based class that incorporates yoga poses and concepts.
Created by Zumba® and BabyFirst for kids ages 0-4, the Zumbini® program combines music, dance and educational tools for 45 minutes of can’t-stop, won’t-stop bonding, learning, and fun! Click here for more information.
Ballet-style fitness that works out the whole body. I teach this in 2 formats: progressive sessions that start with simple moves and increases in intensity/complexity, and medium to high-intensity BlissBarre sequences that change every 2 weeks.
