About Me
I began taking yoga classes after a car accident left me with a back injury. I was seeking a movement-based practice but I quickly experienced the greater offerings of yoga. My injury healed and I was introduced to a whole world of other benefits that I didn't know existed. Since then, I've dedicated my time to learning about the practice of yoga.

In 2013, I began my studies. I traveled to attend various teacher trainings in different countries and here in Canada. I am extremely thankful for the teachings that have been passed down to me.
My teachers include:
Sudhir Rishi of Sthira Yoga
Rachel Berryman
Nadine Sharkey
Rowie Geraerts
Joe Barnett
Sarah Longacre
Stacy Seebart
I am able to teach a variety of styles of asana as well as meditation and pranayama technique. I continue to devote my time to honouring and learning about the practice of yoga. In my asana classes, you can expect to be encouraged to explore and discover your body's unique needs. Teaching has become a passion of mine and I look forward to seeing you in class!

My Teaching Philosophy
People seek out yoga for a variety of reasons and it's not my place to judge those reasons. Regardless of what you have in mind, you have a place in my class. My teaching is not a reflection of my personal practice - it is for you, the practitioner. I love to engage in conversation and find out what brings people to their mat so I can better facilitate those goals.
Yoga is a spiritual practice that originates in India. To appreciate and honour the roots of yoga, I acknowledge the long history of colonization and cultural appropriation of ancient Indian traditions. I am committed to continuing my studies and teaching with respect for yogic roots.
